Right well I suppose it is time to give an update...

No internet at home at the moment so access isn't what it usually is, I feel strangely disconnected from everyone and everything!! But usual service will be resumed soon..I promise.

So far so good. Zürich is, Street Parade aside, rather sedate. In fact it was summed up quite well today by two separate people...the first over lunch "actually, I find Zürich quite boring...as in it puts me to sleep" and the other via email by a potential visitor.."People tell me: if you move to Zurich, you get bored to death". I'm sure you get the general feeling there right?

Having said that it is a perfectly decent place to live (even if you are a temporary resident of the Republic of Seebach)... it is over populated with Starbucks cafes, but that is ok as I have developed a fondness for them as I rediscover my love of reading...I have soo much time to indulge in that now..I have already read at least half a dozen books. I should really thank the guys for all the times they have been late, "forcing" me into reading an extra chapter ;)

There are tons of interns here, by the end of September there will be 12 in UBS alone!! I promise to post some photos once I have internet at home :) I am predicting I will have an Indian accent by the end of my internship...we seem to have formed a native english speakers club...although truth be told it is more a "lets just make fun of each other club" which could very well be one and the same thing ;) Either way I have also had time to catch up on Championship action, soccer (I had almost forgotten what a full Premiership match looked like, I was so used to just seeing match of the day) and of course...I saw an entire Grand Prix :) woooot!! And I am slowly getting used to the fact that my fellow enthusiasts know bugger all about F1 (I do of course jest...it is just my reaction to the blatant anti-Alonso-ness :P) and unfortunately follow Man United. I've been thinking about some trips...so who knows where I'll be popping up over the next few months ;)

Work is going well...project is interesting and it feels like everyday I learn something new about the gigantic corporate engine that is UBS!! We have all given up on the dream of going to IC though.

It is weird thinking I won't be there making it 3-in-a-row with some of my co-MCPs...Thordis on her second term as MCP and third term on the Icelandic MC...keep that WENA Newies' flag flying babe...Emad is going as a FACI :) Go HGN representation....Laura at her 3rd IC - what a journey that has to be from CC in India to AI VPF in Turkey :) and Deniss returns to IC for another helping of MCP times....Lara is heading there as WENA Conf coordinator and Shirley as AP director!! And of course Sveta is going in her new role as a Latina ;) Mindy, my adorable roomie is on AI and Sami will get his first giant helping of WENA Spirit...Holey moley the list is endless...but the one BIG regret is that I will not get to see my Robbie, the man born to be WENA Director, strut his stuff in front of his GN plenary...but I will be thinking of him every step of the way :) I have so many amazing memories of both IC in India and IC in Poland...I can only wish the same for anyone lucky enough to be heading to Istanbul...enjoy every last second. It is an amazing priviledge to sit in global plenary and discuss the future of our organisation with delegates representing over a hundred countries...don't waste it!! Oh and go team Ireland...and Irezuela -Aisling don't forget to take care of Kelly :)

And from Istanbul to Zürich ;) I've been recently informed that the charmed one could be making a special guest appearance here over the next week or so :) so then maybe he can tag me in some photos on facebook that I am actually in...as opposed to the ones he knows I would like to be in ;) My long awaited trip to Liechtenstein looks like it will happen this weekend...Gaurav you pinky promised - back out now and I'll never trust you again!! Other than that I guess there will be some more house hunting...I am looking to shorten the commute and therefore optimise snooooze time!

That is all for now...over and out with the usual amounts of love and hugs...

Aine! You are demotivating me by writing that it is a boring place! Well I guess F1s will keep us busy (besides work, ofcourse)

And from next post ONWARDS, put some 'happenin' things you guys do in Zurich!

I also like the line :) - "We have all given up on the dream of going to IC"
